Lush's Marilyn hair treatment review.

I'm always willing to try new hair treatments, so when I heard about this lush product 'Marilyn' I thought i'd give it a go. It claims to keep hair shiny and moisturized while lightening fair hair and minimizing any brassy tones.
You put it all over your hair before you get into the shower and leave it for 20 minutes. The amount of uses you get out of it will depend on the length of your hair, mine is pretty long so I got 2 uses out of it.

The texture of the product is quite runny and the smell is far from appealing. As far as making my hair lighter goes, I didn't see any difference. It did make my hair feel softer and a little more moisturized but in all honesty there wasn't a vast difference. For 12 euro I really feel this product didn't do much and I probably won't be re-purchasing it.
If you're looking for something to moisturize your hair I would recommend it, however I think simple home made masks can do just as good a job.. if not better. Here's a post I did on one a while ago! http://graciousghost.blogspot.ie/2014/08/diy-hair-mask.html

I hope everyone had a lovely day!

The little things that make me happy.

Reading a good book
I'll be honest, it's not often I get stuck into a really good book but when I do i'm a happy gal.

Fairy lights
Looking at the lights wrapped around the chimney of my little attic bedroom makes cosy winter nights all the more cosy.

Hot chocolate
I think the picture is enough explanation.

The sound of rain
There is literally nothing better than lying in bed listening to the rain knowing you don't have to go anywhere.

 New music on my ipod
Okay, I don't know if it's just me but knowing I can listen to all ma new songs on the bus to college makes getting out of bed in the morning a little easier.

Hopefully no one's lactose intolerant because this is an absolute cheesefest.. but I think it's important to recognize the small things life offers that often go unappreciated.

Happy Wednesday!

The Outfit | Four

Bralet: Forever21
Maxi skirt: Asos
Shirt: Eager Beaver
Boots: New Look

I'm well aware this outfit is a little risque but life's too short to wear boring clothes anyway.

This bralet is beyond gorgeous and I want to own it in all the colours it comes in. I think this outfit has a bit of a dark vibe going on so for halloween I teamed it with ripped fish nets and a load of fake blood and boom I was a vampire!

Home Made Sea Salt Spray Baybaay.

You will need:
 Sea Salt
Water
A lemon
Styling Gel
Water
An empty spray bottle

I think it's fair to come to the conclusion that i'm a bit of a cheapskate... so I may as well share my money pinching ways with others and help a sista save some dolla!

Basically to make the sea salt spray I put some hot water into a jug, mix in 3 table spoons of salt, a smell lemon segment and 2 table spoons of any kind of styling gel (I robbed my brothers vo5 styling hold gel) mix them all together and pour it into an empty spray bottle and you're done! I use the lemon to lighten my hair but if you want it to be a little less drying on your hair use some conditioner instead.

I hope you all had a lovely weekend!

The Outfit | Three

Shirt: The Eager Beaver
Skirt: Pennys/Primark
Jacket: The Harlequin (Vintage)
Knee socks: Topshop
Shoes: New Look
Bag: Pennys/Primark

Completely unplanned post, I wore this outfit to college today and I quite liked it so I decided it deserved it's own little post.

Usually, before I take outfit pictures I'll put on a face full of make up but today for a change I decided to go bare faced, I know there's not many pictures of my face but just before I went through the routine of covering my entire face I thought it might be nice to do a post without any. I'm not the kind of gal who needs a full face of make up to go to college or the shops so why should I portray that I am on my blog.. anyway I think it's nice to not have to hide behind a mask and feel comfortable doing so.

So if you're the kind of girl (or boy) who can't go anywhere without  make up on I encourage you for just one day this week to go somewhere completely natural, trust me once you do you'll never know what the big deal was!

Hope you're all having a lovely week

One Shirt Two Outfits.

Outfit 1

 Shirt: Vintage
Jeans: Pennys(Primark)/diy
Boots: New Look
Jumper: Topshop

Outfit 2

Shirt: Vintage
Skirt: American Apparel
Boots: New Look
Cardigan: Mams wardrobe

I made a post similar to this a few weeks ago showing two different ways I to wear a skirt so I decided to do the same but this time with a shirt.

I picked up this topman shirt from a second hand shop a while ago for only 4 euro so I decided to cut it up and make it wearable, for only 4 euro it would have been a sin to not buy it!

Happy weekend!
